On this page, you will find links to our various policies and operational
workflows that govern the decision making, direction aim and governance
of the FurrIX Virtual Internet Exchange. Feel free to explore these pages
and if you have any questions or concerns, email us at

1. Governance & Operational Framework
Technical Architecture and Operational Disclosure
Reinforces FurrIX’s identity and core mission in a direct, easy to follow manner.
Governance and Operational Framework
Defines the principles, responsibilities, and operational philosophy guiding
FurrIX. Establishes expectations for transparency, communication, and
NOC conduct. As a community operated and governed exchange, we want
our members to understand the how and why we do what we do.
Terms of Service
Core agreement governing participation, acceptable use, responsibilities, and
service boundaries. If you plan on becoming a member of the exchange than
this is one of the more important things to read before making an application.
2. Network & Infrastructure Policies
Network Management Policy
Outlines operational standards, maintenance expectations, monitoring practices, and
change‑control behavior. Our members should be privvy to our internals and we want
to be as transparent as we can with you all.
Peering Structure and Agreement
Defines routing expectations, BGP behavior, prefix requirements, abuse handling,
and escalation paths for exchange members and peers. While still an experimental
part of FurrIX, we have loose governance for allowing members and external peers
to use BGP to peer with the FurrIX fabric.
Name Server Terms of Service
Governs use of FurrIX DNS infrastructure, including authoritative and recursive services,
security expectations and acceptable use. Everyone on the internet needs the ‘phonebook’
and FurrIX tries to maintain our own, while allowing members to query as needed.
